No, I am sorry but we cannot accommodate any wheelchairs on the trolley.

People who can walk up the steps or be helped up are welcome to enjoy our tours where there is no walking or hopping off. Walkers and wheelchairs are stored in the gift shop during the tour.

The trolley is available for private rentals or for custom tours. Contact [email protected] for a quote.

We have a restroom at the Trolley Cottage that you may use before boarding the trolley for your tour. There are no restrooms available on the trolley.

While most tours do not include stops where you get off of the trolley, there are a few exceptions: Amish Experience Tour: Bridges To Understanding, Sunset Cabaret, Art Crawl Trolley History Hop Trolley – Englewood, Sarasota, Venice, Sip & Stroll, Psychic Sundays Tour, Sing-Along Trolley, and other POP UP Experiences.

The Trolley Cottage is open October-July. We are closed for public tours Aug-September but still run private tours.

We are generally open 1 hour before and after regularly scheduled tours generally 9-3 daily and 6-9PM nights when tours are running.

Tours are available as listed on our FULL CALENDAR. If a tour is not listed, it is either not running on that day or time, is already sold out, or is booked for a private Group Tour.

Cancellation Policy

We run tours as scheduled rain or shine. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance or miss your tour, we will do our best to move you to another tour based on available space. However, ALL SALES ARE FINAL and we do not provide refunds for no-shows or tours that are booked and missed. If your tour is booked through an Affiliate, then the policies of the Affiliate will apply. We ask that you book directly with us, via phone (941) 260-9818 or on our website, for lowest price and best customer service.

If your tour is not able to run, we will move you to another tour of your choice or provide you with a credit to use in the future at your discretion. These credits do not expire.

Most tours depart from and return to Discover Sarasota Tours’ Trolley Cottage, 1826 4th Street in Sarasota (behind The Breakfast House, off of Fruitville Road & N Osprey Ave).

We have a cute Trolley Cottage Gift Shop where you can browse for souvenirs before boarding.

Venice tours leave from the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce located at: 597 Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the tour leaves to check in and check out our Trolley Cottage Gift Shop while you wait to board the trolley for your tour.

Trolleys leave at your scheduled time. If you don’t arrive within 5 minutes of departure time, we reserve the right to resell your ticket.

Easy FREE on-site parking is available right around the Trolley Cottage!

Video is NOT allowed, however, as our scripted tours and shows are copyrighted material. Video, audio and film recording by patrons of any tour or performance is strictly prohibited.

Our Christmas Tour, Tinsel Town Trolley is designed for kids and families ages 3+. Babies under 2 can sit in laps without getting a ticket.

Murder Mystery Tour is open for kids 7+ but they must pay the adult price. Haunted Sarasota guests must be 12+ and accompanied by an adult over 21.

All daytime tours require kids to sit still for 90 minutes so we find that kids over 8 can do this. Babies, toddlers, and kids under 8 are not allowed. Kids that are disruptive will be asked to depart the trolley with their parents.

Please note that strollers, wheelchairs, walkers or car seats are not permitted on any tours.

ALL guests must have a paid ticket to board, no exceptions.

All tickets must be paid at time of booking.

We do not allow any coolers or personal alcohol on the tours.

We have a variety of options to book a trolley tour for a group! See our Groups page for more information on how to book a group tour.

The handling fee added to each ticket covers a bottle of chilled water, your program and map, and it helps us maintain our public restroom. It is part of the ticket price whether you book online or in person.

Our tours run year-round, however during the hottest months of the summer, we don’t run all tours every day. Please check the FULL CALENDAR on our All Tours page for activity availability. If there is a date not listed, please email us at [email protected].

Our cute Trolley Cottage Gift Shop features curious collectibles and memorabilia curated to complement our 17+ trolley tour themes.

We carry Ringling Brothers Circus, Ghost, Psychic, Sports, and Public Art items as well as a bevy of Old Florida/Old Sarasota books, cards, t-shirts, magnets, flamingos, pins, art boards, drinkware, candles, tablecloths, tea towels, soaps, food items & vintage memorabilia.
