Hop on board our Murder Mystery Trolley to solve the Circus Queen’s murder in a fun and interactive theatrical performance.

This 90-minute fantasy murder-solving tour visits many circus locations in Sarasota on a rolling adventure, where colorful characters jump aboard to add clues and hilarity for the guests.

Upon booking, guests can choose to be cast in a role and receive their costume pieces, props and scripts upon arrival at the Trolley Cottage. There is no acting. You are only reading lines in a script for speaking parts or wearing a prop for non-speaking parts. In order for the show to work we highly encourage guests to participate— it’s easy and fun!

Then enjoy complimentary beer or wine at Discover Sarasota Tours’ Trolley Cottage Tiki Bar while browsing through our Trolley Cottage Gift Shop full of fun circus-themed merchandise and other treasures before boarding.

Circus-themed costumes encouraged, so come dressed to kill!

ALL guests must be 12+. No children under 12 allowed except on family tours designed for children—The BooMobile and Christmas Carol Trolley. Every guest must have a paid ticket in order to board. Young people ages 12-20 may attend if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

WHAT A FABULOUS EVENING!!!!
We just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed this 90-minute entertainment experience. Talented performers, caring staff, and SO MUCH FUN!! If you like unique things to do, this is right up your alley. You can participate if you like, or just watch the fun and various talents unfold. There are both speaking and action parts, and you can sign up when you purchase your tickets. A tour around the city meeting different characters at various stops; each character holds a key to solving the Murder Mystery. What is singularly wonderful about tour is that the audience gets to participate. A MUST EXPERIENCE WHILE IN SARASOTA!!!
Oh my gosh! This was the experience was so much fun!!! I love how they guests are also part of play and that it is a musical. (Given prompts and scripts.) I got to be the Bearded Lady, Sofanda! hahaha!!! I also love all the stops we we went to and learned a little history of Sarasota. I highly recommend going on this experience whether you are a local resident or just in Sarasota for a visit. It is so much fun! And the perfect amount of time. Oh, and the cottage and gift shop that we meet at is absolutely darling!!! It has such fun and unique gifts. Thank you for such a great night. — Charli

Wonderfully entertaining!
What an extraordinary evening! We had no idea what to expect but our experience far exceeded any expectation. The actors were skilled and entertaining. The trolley moved about town during the course of the evening and even engaged some of the Main Street diners with a ‘top down’ version of “Downtown”! The plot was intriguing and well-written. Guests were invited to participate and became very engaged… and entertaining ourselves! Fun. Fast-paced. And well-managed by the very capable and quick-thinking ringmaster, Daniel. Brace yourself for a totally splendid ninety minute treat. The Circus Murder Mystery Musical “Who Killed the Circus Queen” is indeed riveting to be sure. Totally inclusive, this cast of twenty (including you) tackles the “who done it” question and it changes right before your eyes.
