Visit three local theatre organisations: Asolo Repertory Theatre, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, and Florida Studio Theatre (FST) to see how the magic of theatre is created.

Guests will begin with an exclusive visit to the state-of-the-art production and rehearsal facilities at the Asolo Repertory Theatre’s Robert & Beverly Koski Center to enjoy a firsthand look at the craftsmanship of professional theatre, exploring our massive, active scene shop where paint, prop construction, and scenic builds all happen.

Travelling on Dolly the Trolley to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, guests will step onto the stage to peek behind the curtains to learn about the many hands that create thrilling shows for your enjoyment. You will see the ropes and pulleys that “fly” the scenery on and off the stage, the movable orchestra pit, the star dressing room, and the loading dock where travelling shows back up their 18-wheelers’ load into the theatre. All the while you’ll be dazzled by stories and anecdotes around the colourful world of show business.

The final stop is a chance to see improv performance and try out their skills. Join us for an engaging workshop and performance where you’ll discover the joy of saying “yes, and” before watching FST Improv cast members turn audience suggestions into unforgettable comedy.
