Discover Sarasota Tours is adding a new tour date on May 7, due to the popular appeal of its Sarasota Centennial City Tour.

Step back in time aboard our air-conditioned trolley with Sarasota’s first newspaper publisher, Rose Phillips Wilson (played by Kathryn Chesley), to learn about Sarasota 100 years ago as we celebrate its Centennial.

This 90-minute Centennial City Tour explores neighborhoods, buildings, and people pivotal to Sarasota’s historical development as well as its current state as one of Florida’s most interesting artistic and cultural communities.

Learn about the history of fascinating places such as the Sarasota County Courthouse, the Edwards Theater (now the Sarasota Opera), the Tamiami Trail and the Terrace Hotel.

The Sarasota Centennial City Tour will run Wednesday, April 14 and Friday, May 7 at 10:30 AM. Tickets are $34.99 for ages 12+ and $18.99 for children under 12.
