Discover Sarasota’s art galleries, studios and public art on a trolley tour

Discover Sarasota Tours’ Art Crawl Trolley Tour showcases Sarasota’s galleries, studios and public art.

The tour is led by local guide and watercolor artist Jerome Chesley and City Guide, Kathryn Chesley.

“There is so much art to see in Sarasota and I am excited to lead this Art Crawl tour to share the galleries, studios and public art that is Sarasota’s arts legacy” stated Chesley in a news release.

Visitors start at the Trolley Cottage Gift Shop at 1826 4th St., Sarasota. Visit the Artful Giraffe Gallery while waiting to board the trolley to explore six hub locations.

Two hop-on/hop-off trolleys run in rotation every 15 minutes starting at start at 5 p.m. At each hub stop, guests can hop off to explore the galleries and studios or hop back on to go to the next stop. The last trolley leaves at 8 p.m.

Participating galleries include Chasen Gallery, Burns Gallery On Palm, Define Gallery, Milan Art Gallery, Palmer Modern Studio and Gallery, Creative Liberties, Bazaar on Apricot and Lime, Hamlet’s Eatery, Helmuth Stone Gallery, Towles Court Art Center, Mara Art Studio Gallery + Gallery, Sarasota Trading Company, Todd Alan Jewelry Gallery, Creaturo Studio Gallery, Papillion Studio Gallery, Antique Clock Emporium, Alex Art International, Art Ovation, Palm Avenue Fine Art, Meg Krakowiak Art Gallery & Studio and North Star Jewelry and Gallery. Participating galleries subject to change.

The $10 ticket includes the trolley tour, parking at the Trolley Cottage Gift Shop, plus complimentary beer, wine or water before boarding. The tour is for ages 21 and older.
