Hop aboard our air-conditioned trolley to hear from local sports fan Jon MacDonald about the history of baseball, golf, & water sports in Sarasota. Meander through historic neighborhoods, visiting important places like Payne Park, Bobby Jones Golf Course and the Ed Smith Baseball Stadium.
Includes free beer or wine at the Trolley Cottage Tiki Bar before boarding.
|START TIMES||Sports History Tours run from 4:30-6:00 PM on Thursdays.|
|DURATION||90 minutes in peak season.|
|DEPARTURE/RETURN LOCATION||1826 4th Street in Sarasota (behind The Breakfast House off Fruitville). For those with Spring Training Tour + Transport Tickets, we will pick you up at the outside entrance to Café 54 (the restaurant in Ed Smith Stadium) at 12:00 Noon on March 3, and 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings March 10-24.|
|ARRIVING||If you are starting at the Trolley Cottage, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour leaves, to check in and visit our gift shop while you wait to board. Trolleys leave at your scheduled time. If you don’t arrive within 5 minutes of departure time, we reserve the right to resell your ticket.|
|PARKING||FREE shaded parking is available!|
|ACCESSIBILITY||We have two trolleys that are wheelchair accessible but they may not always be available; if you need a wheelchair or are bringing a group of people who need a wheelchair lift or need to remain in their wheelchairs for the tour, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.|
|THINGS TO NOTE||This is a non-stop tour and you should expect to be seated for the whole trip.|
|CANCELLATION||Book with confidence! We run tours as scheduled rain or shine. If you cancel in advance or miss your tour and are able to take a future tour, we will do our best to accommodate you based on available space. However, all sales are final and we do not provide refunds for no-shows/tours you booked and missed. If we must cancel a tour for any reason, we will give you as much notice as possible and try to move you to another tour date, provide a gift certificate for a future tour or refund your ticket.|
